Hey Pops, how could I forget the naked steering wheel. It would let you honk only at certain weather conditions. Occasionally, it would give out an electric shock, so it was a battle on the road and within the car. One had to be extra careful. And, somehow, it added to Chip's charm. :)

I think it was Mat who actually asked Joey if he was okay. It could have been the fumes in the air, his lack of sleep, the hangover, his personal affection to the dying car, or all the above, but instead of answering us straight, his hand went up to his face to rub his eyes. And with his voice--that we could hardly understand on normal days, thanks to his less than clear manner of speaking--he said "yung, ano..." and he then tried to explain what pissed him off. But I hardly understood. All I know is, his voice went up and down a lot and it was full of emotion. I assumed it was the hardwork he put on Chip that gnawed at his spirits.

Chip served us well, didn't she?

Oh well.. thanks for the comment Dad!

t'was last night yet when mom noted that u had posted something on ur fb wall, reading a line there about me and a 'smile on his face' to catch my attention and lure me away from my chess game on icc.

but it is only now, past 4am already, that i got to check the item myself, not expecting to be catapulted back to a slice of life back in old provident v.

and if i had then what i now recall to be a silly grin, what i now have is a nostalgic smile.

oh yes, i also have fond memories of this 4-wheeled filly u called chip. Remember that broken cap on her steering wheel, that contraption u pressed to get her to go beep-beeping thru hostile traffic? if u nobody ever told u how she got that injury, let me now confess that i was culprit and really sorry but it was pure accident.

blame it on especially horrendous traffic i was navigating that tightly scheduled day i rode her. stepped on the gas i did whenever the gridlock gave space, and pressed hard on the horn when space disappeared. pressed so hard, too hard, i realized at one point when something snapped.

medyo natauhan ako dun. and as i fingered that broken piece of chip's steering wheel, it was like holding a body part of a cherished pet.

i do not recall joey the mechanic shedding tears over chips smouldering carcass then. i do know now
the smile it brought me this morning, came with moist eyes as well.

Hi Skaapoom,

I appreciate your support. But 'imagefilter()' is supposedly part of normal PHP. Your site's PHP installation might not allow the use of this command. You might get mileage asking your provider. I'm not that familiar with PHP installations to know if there are cases where providers choose to turn this off.

And sadly, I haven't even looked at the code for redesignimages for ages. I am still using a variant of this plugin for a largely different and highly personalized purpose.

You say, you spent months before you found this plugin? I wonder if what you are looking for is a plugin that would automatically apply filters unto your images, or one that downloads hotlinked images unto your website? If it's the latter, allow me to suggest the plugin found in this link: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cache-images/

I too spent months scouring the web. I wrote this plugin and then found out that my search strings were all wrong. I was using variants of "wp download images" when I should have been using "wp cache images".

Hope this helps!

Hi Kingtjl, unfortunately, I wont be able to finish the tutorial I started long ago about the book rig. If you want to learn how its done, try using the book rig that I just placed in this site that people could download.

Hi Roy, actually it was discussed in one forum that Maya actually has an ability to key blendshape weights, deeming all that I did unnecessary. But if you really are interested in what I did, I made a duplicate of the geometry, flattened it using a zero value in scaleY. Then applied deformers on it to make its vertices go up and down. I think back then I did a lattice with a wave deformer on top of it. Then, I attached the final translateY of each vertex unto the corresponding weights of the target shape for the blendshape. again trust me, its not needed. Check out the documentation for the edit blendshape weights tool. The button you'll need is there. :) cheers! Thanks for the support!

YES! I've been longing for this in Maya since I first used XSI about 6 or so years ago. I had devised an ugly method that never worked in realtime and was slow and awful - how have you done this, and can I PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have this script? :)
Pretty please?
With cherrys on top?
Cheers,
Roy

The best way to serve mankind is to embrace empathy and to never wear the eagerness of proving a thing to others.
The eagerness of proving a thing is the path for life's worthless glitters.

Truly what is the best thing we receive from any good hard work, if not the possibility of pushing ourselves mentally and physically toward landscapes of the mind.

This is a really great idea! I have actually been looking for something like this. Would be perfect for analyzing motion/movement for animation! Unfortunately it does not work on my system. I run an i7 computer with a quadro 1800 video card, so it shouldn't really be my computer.

The problems I'm encountering (with both the 64 and 32 bit versions) are the following:

1: opening the program is no problem, but it does not work together with my intous 4 wacom tablet/pen. If my "focus" is on another program or window, then I can drag the jaydee window around the very first time I click on it, but when I let go of the window it will not let me click again. It just appears frozen. With a regular mouse I have no problems. But, of course, if it's for scribbling it should definitively work with a wacom pen.

2: it will not import images or video. The first time I tried to import a jpg sequence, it crashed. Ever since that, it just freezes with the import window open. This means that I'm not able to test the program, which makes me a very sad person...

I hope you can do something to fix these issues, because I would love to test and use this program. Best of luck with its progress!

LOL! Thanks Jean! I saw the forum. So many clamoring for a 32bit. I had it this whole time on my other pc (I need to use a 32bit machine to compile 32bit). I uploaded it to github now.

It's exactly the same version as the 64bit above. Still 0.0.0.5. On the next alpha release, I'd like to address the issue of memory management. Images too long and too big can make your computer go really slow. So I'll have some selective loaders to help manage this issue.

Thanks for supporting me! I appreciate it a lot! Cheers, buddy!
